The Northeast Texas Horsemen’s Association will hold their second annual Futurity Saturday October 24, 2009 at the Hopkins County Civic Center in Sulphur Springs, TX. The event will take place in the INDOOR Arena. This show will feature Breeders Futurity Classes for the first time, with weanlings by stallions sold in the 2008 Stallion Service Auction, and foaled in 2009, eligible to compete for prize money. Open Futurity Classes will also be included throughout the day, with anyone eligible to compete.

The 2009 Breeders Futurity will feature WEANLINGS ONLY by the above stallions.

Weanling Breeders Classes will consist of Jr. and Sr. Weanling Colts and Jr. and Sr. Weanling Fillies. Jr. foals are those born on or after April 1, 2009. Sr foals are those born before April 1, 2009. Open Weanling Futurity Classes are for all age foals born in 2009.

Breeders Futurity Class Payout: 60% of the proceeds collected on sale of stallions in 2008 will be eligible for prize money. 20% of proceeds will be carried forward to 2010. 20% of proceeds are used for administration of show. 80% of any ENTRY FEES paid in Breeders Futurity Classes will be added to the prize money.

Open Futurity Class Payout: 80% of ENTRY FEES are eligible for payout. 20% are used for show administration.

Breeders Futurity And Open Futurity class fees are NON REFUNDABLE.

Payouts on ALL Futurity Classes will be as follows:

Entry Fees & Due Date: All early entries are to be postmarked no later than September 15, 2009.
